摘要: A readout electronics scheme is under development for high resolution, compact PET (positron emission tomography) imagers based on LSO (lutetium ortho-oxysilicate, Lu 2 SiO 5 ) scintillator and avalanche photodiode (APD) arrays. The key to obtain sufficient timing energy resolution at a low power level, less than about 30 mW per channel, including all required functions. To this end, simple leading edge level crossing discriminator used, in combination with transimpedance preamplifier. APD used has gain of order 1,000, an output noise current several pA/√Hz, allowing bipolar technology be instead CMOS, increased speed efficiency. prototype the preamplifier been constructed, achieving 1.5 ns FWHM, 2.7 full width one tenth maximum, relative LSO/PMT detector, 13.6% FWHM 511 keV, while operating 22 channel. Work progress towards integration appropriate coincidence logic amplitude measurement circuits ASIC suitable instrument. detector system and/or can also many other applications medical industrial imaging.
