摘要: Techniques for recovering from hierarchical virtual private LAN service (HVPLS) hub connectivity failure are described herein. In one embodiment of the invention, a provider edge network element reuses an HVPLS spoke recovery mechanism in MTU to protect against connectivity. The PE monitors facing elements and declares upon certain amount those failing, fabricates its causing detect switch secondary connection. Other methods apparatuses described.
