摘要: The phenomenon of subsidence induced by the growth carbonate platforms has been investigated with aid numerical modelling. research aimed to quantify relative contribution this process in creation accommodation space required pile up thick neritic bodies. We analysed two end-member deformation styles, namely elastic behaviour lithosphere when locally loaded and plastic-like reaction a sed- imentary succession underlying growing buildup. former process, using modified flexural model, generates regional subsidence. In contrast, latter simulated considering compaction occurring soft sediments, local attempted amount distribution below surrounding an isolated platform adjacent basin. major parameters playing role are discussed detail. model is then applied Late Anisian-Early Ladinian generation Dolomites, Northern Italy, where they spec- tacularly exposed. Taking also into account Tertiary shortening that occurred area, both re- gional contributions bodies have calculated at reconstruction map A outcome study space, allowed accumulation very shallow-water successions was only partially due lithospheric stretching while given 'local' overload as high 20-40% total sub- sidence. Our results shed some light on water-depth problem Triassic basins well basin-depth platform-thickness relationships.
