摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes the ex vivo measurement of platelet adhesion to polymeric surfaces. Clotting times upon exposure blood test materials have been used as a complementary measure adhesion. It is necessary distinguish from clotting. The direct surface thrombogenicity. number platelets adhered on surfaces varies widely, depending experimental conditions, such species used, type anticoagulant employed, presence plasma proteins, and whether in vitro or assays are used. transformation adherent spread form subsequent mural thrombus formation invariably occurs artificial flowing blood. Environments that allow activation thrombi under conditions accurately evaluate interaction with biomaterials.
