摘要: In this study, milk thistle seeds growing in different areas Tunisia were cold pressed and the extracted oils examined for their chemical antioxidant properties. The major fatty acids linoleic acid (C18:2) (57.0%, 60.0%, 60.3% seed native to Bizerte, Zaghouan Sousse, respectively) oleic (C18:1) (15.5%, 21.5%, 22.4% originating from respectively). High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis showed richness of (MTSO) α-tocopherol. highest content was recorded that region (286.22 mg/kg). total phenolic contents (TPC) Zaghouan, Sousse 1.59, 8.12, 4.73 Gallic Acid Equivalent (GAE) mg/g, respectively. Three also identified (vanillic, p-coumaric, silybine), with a predominance vanillic acid. value oil (83 mg/100 g). Differences outcomes between regions may be due climatic differences areas. Zaghouan's cold-pressed had better quality than those Bizerte can considered as valuable source new multi-purpose products or by-products industrial, cosmetic, pharmaceutical utilization.
