Stroke after acute myocardial infarction: relation to infarct size.

摘要: In a consecutive series of 783 patients with acute myocardial infarction, 13 (1.7%) suffered stroke. all but one case the strokes occurred among 255 whose peak creatine kinase (CK) concentrations fell in upper third range values (over 1160 IU/l, about eight times limit normal); exception was patient pre-existing ventricular aneurysm. The incidence stroke CK over IU/l 4.7%, 24 when below this value (0.2%). Higher serum enzyme were associated an even higher Comparison cumulated showed close correlation (r = 0.90 CK; r 0.85 aspartate transaminase), suggesting that reflected infarct size.
