Preliminary results from a genetic analysis of clinical mastitis data

摘要: First lactation clinical mastitis records from Norwegian health recording were analysed. These preliminary analyses utilised data on 70,861 daughters 2 annual batches of a total 257 young bulls. Genetic parameters resistance estimated with both threshold and traditional linear model analysis, resulting in heritability estimates 0.09 0.05 respectively. Mastitis information the period 10 days prior to 90 after calving resulted highest estimate. Estimated breeding values ranking bulls compared for models. Correlations using either criterion greater than 0.99. ___________________________________________________________________________________
