Effects of Dietary Fat on Mammary Carcinogenesis by 7,12-Dimethylbenz(α)anthracene in Rats

摘要: Summary A semisynthetic high-corn oil diet enhanced the development of mammary cancer induced by 7,12-dimethylbenz(α)anthracene (DMBA) in intact female Sprague-Dawley rats. This was comparison to two other groups similarly treated rats fed a high-coconut and low-fat diet, respectively. The average daily caloric intake similar, growth rate, based on body weight, comparable all three groups. Fatty acid analyses demonstrated that, at time DMBA administration, composition fat different groups, reflecting their dietary intake. data from this study suggest that effects upon carcinogenesis were related nature as well amount used.
