摘要: Publisher Summary The most common application of microarray technology to the research aging is search for gene expression changes that correlates with organismal age. Microarrays can also be used compare individuals or populations similar age but different potentials. In several research, these two types experimental design have been combined in such a way analysis carried out on control and long-lived animals at more ages. Microarray tissues cells derived from short-lived mutants offers opportunity identify correlated short life span and, potentially, accelerated aging. offer detect group biomarkers accurately reflect biological than currently possible. Several potential assayed simultaneously single array experiment. Appropriate identification individual longevity using microarrays, however, nontrivial. While considering experiment, sources technical variability must considered as they affect ability true changes.
