摘要: Background: Although the risk factors of ischemic strokes are well defined, there is slight information about their relations with etiologies strokes. This study investigated distribution stroke and connections to diverse cerebrovascular attack (CVA) specific regions brain. Methods: In this cross sectional study, we analyzed data patients definite diagnosis CVA, excluding hemorrhagic strokes, registered in Imam Hossein Medical Center Tehran, Iran. The were collected from entire archived medical records March 2010 until September 2012, retrospectively. Results: Out 1696 cases a total 1011 subjects, 487 (48.2%) males 524 (51.8%) females mean age 68.91±13.54 yr included study. Patients suffering atrial fibrillation (AF), valvular heart disease (VHD), dilated cardiomyopathy more prone develop cardioembolic stroke. Those diabetes mellitus (DM), carotid artery stenosis dyslipidemia (DLP) had higher prevalence macroangiopathic Ischemic (IHD), AF, VHD associated brain territory supplied by middle cerebral (MCA) while DM correspondent posterior (PCA) Conclusion: weight each factor on different territories ischemia can assist care providers for efficient prevention results also be basis further investigations corroborate pathophysiology such relations.
