摘要: The photodissociation of 2-propyl leading to propene+H was investigated with nanosecond time resolution. A supersonic beam isolated radicals produced by pyrolysis 2-bromopopane. kinetic energy release the H-atom photofragment monitored as a function excitation wavelength Doppler spectroscopy via Lyman-α transition. loss hydrogen atoms after proceeds in α position radical center rate constant 5.8×107s−1 at 254nm. Approximately 20% excess is deposited translation photofragment. In contrast 1-propyl does not lose H significant extent. experimental results are compared simple Rice-Ramsperger-Kassel-Marcus calculations. possible reaction pathways examined hybrid density functional theory
