Hydrodynamics analysis of stepped planing hull under different physical and geometrical conditions

摘要: Stepped planing hulls are improved high-speed crafts with the main characteristics of low drag to lift ratio. In current paper, we numerically investigated hydrodynamic performance stepped hull via 3D CFD analysis. To this accomplishment, without step and one transverse simulated free heave pitch motions under different weight loadings, trim angles, Froude numbers distances LCG from aft body. Resistance ratio, pressure distribution, centerline 0.25 line wake profiles computed. results appropriately validated compared our conducted experimental laboratory tests. Developed formulation predict profile is also suggested.
