摘要: This study uses a comprehensive urban simulation model called UrbanSim to evaluate the viability and suitability of light rail system for Phoenix metropolitan area. The impact proposed is examined by observing changes in number types households adjacent transit line 2015. A scenario that includes compared with which not introduced. Although results confirm expectation most areas light-rail stations would increase household density, there was surprising decline density other areas, especially corridor next Arizona State University. area already has an extremely high population housing mostly rental aimed at students low- mid-market clients. It suggested provide amenity push this towards gentrification out current population.
