摘要: Abstract Building stocks account for a large share of energy consumption and harbour great potential reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The field urban building modelling (UBEM) offers range approaches to inform climate protection policies, producing output different granularity quality. We compare two typology-based (archetype) heat demand calculation in mixed-use area Berlin, Germany. goal is show challenges pitfalls how remote sensing can improve the modelling. first approach uses 2D cadastral data specific values from typology. For second approach, we derive 3D model aerial imagery, use parameters same typology, calculate balance each building. differences several geometric parameters, U-values demand. Additionally, analyse if window detection on image textures surface temperatures infrared thermography estimated window-wall ratios U-values. lead results individual buildings. Averaging effects reduce at an aggregated level. Remote be used some needed modelling, but still requires additional research regarding U-value estimation.
