摘要: Previous experiments have shown that mRNA translation in frog oocytes can be inhibited by the injection of a complementary antisense RNA. Here we explore use RNAs to study functions localized maternal mRNAs during postfertilization development. While developmental abnormalities were observed injected fertilized eggs, these could not attributed RNA since they induced at similar frequency control embryos. Biochemical tests show does form stable hybrids vivo with its endogenous mRNA. In addition, novel activity unwinds RNA:RNA duplexes was found.
