摘要: Objectives: In many countries, such as Ghana, there is an increasing impetus to use economic evaluation allow more explicit and transparent health care priority setting. An important question for policymakers in low-income however, whether it possible introduce data into priority-setting decisions. Methods: This article systematically reviewed the literature on medical devices pharmaceuticals Ghana published between 1997 2012. Its aim was analyze quantity, quality, targeting of studies that relate provide a framework those conducting similar technology assessment reviews contexts. Results: The review revealed number publications reporting evaluations minimal with regard pharmaceuticals. Conclusions: With introduction National Health Insurance Scheme since 2004 are confronted challenge allocating scarce resources rationally. Priority setting therefore has be guided by sound knowledge costs providing services. need thus important. More costing were found; very few cost-effectiveness analysis studies. If useful only when performed correctly reported accurately, these findings depict barriers using assist decision-making processes Ghana; hence, independent unit.
