摘要: The dynamics of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) in blanket peat soil solution has been monitored at an upland catchment northern Britain relation to key environmental controls. Dissolved displayed a strong seasonal cycle that showed clear relationship with temperature. However, years significant water table drawdown (>25 cm), summer DOC concentrations were substantially lower than normal years, suggesting factors other temperature controlled the release DOC. Major episodic sulphate (SO 4 2- ), and associated decline pH, was also observed during drought periods. Controlled laboratory experiments conducted over 22 week period factor out relationships between depth, chemistry on dynamics. results from closely followed patterns field data. Results suggest changes (especially SO response hydrology, exerted stronger control under conditions variations alone.
