摘要: The evidence base to assess the efficacy and effectiveness of alcohol brief interventions (ABI) is weakened by variation in outcomes measured inconsistent reporting. ‘Outcome Reporting Brief Intervention Trials: Alcohol’ (ORBITAL) project aims develop a core outcome set (COS) reporting guidance for its use future trials ABI range settings. An international Special Interest Group was convened through INEBRIA (International Network on Interventions Alcohol Other Drugs) inform development COS ABI. ORBITAL will incorporate systematic review map used their measurement properties, using COnsensus-based Standards selection health Measurement INstruments (COSMIN) criteria. This support multi-round Delphi study prioritise outcomes. panellists be drawn from settings stakeholder groups, also determine if single relevant all A consensus meeting with key representation final associated screening intervention trials, stratified into domains instruments. standardisation ongoing studies synthesis emerging research findings. We track extent which delivers this promise an exploration decade following publication.
