摘要: AbstractWhen a water body receives excess organic pollutants from external sources such as secondary effluent discharge, self-purification will occur and the quality be recovered to its background level. As decomposition of organics accompanied by heat loss in body, it result an entropy increase (ΔSC) according Second law thermodynamics. In order develop method for quantitative calculation ΔSC, molar chemical exergy (Δbx) was used surrogates (ΔQ) under assumption that were decomposed oxidation. By using 201 substances known molecular structures, good proportional relation found between Δbx theoretical carbon contents (ThOC) with coefficients kE = 52.576 kJ g−1 (R2 = 0.9724).
