摘要: Cancer is an ever-increasing problem that yet to be harnessed. Frequent mutations make this pathology very variable and, consequently, a considerable challenge. Intriguingly, mitochondria have recently emerged as novel targets for cancer therapy. A group of agents with anti-cancer activity induce apoptosis by way mitochondrial destabilisation, termed mitocans, been recent focus research. Of these compounds, many are hydrophobic associate various sub-cellular organelles. Clearly, modification such structures mitochondria-targeting moieties, example tagging them lipophilic cations, would expected enhance their activity. This may accomplished the addition triphenylphosphonium groups direct compounds mitochondria, enhancing In paper, we will review possess destabilising and possible targets. We propose targeting, in particular where agent associates directly target, results more specific efficient drugs potential high clinical relevance.
