摘要: Fourteen subaerial shorelines and five submarine shelves were previously recognized on around Oahu, Hawaii. Field evidence morphometric analyses show that the only three above present sea level are Hanauma at 10-15 feet, Waimanalo 25 Kaena 95 feet. Bathymetric data indicates two major shelves. The uppermost is Mamala shelf a depth of 350 Two minor platforms superposed depths 40 160 These members not deformed but essentially island. lowermost Lualualei shelf, ranging in from 800 to 2,400 feet possibly tectonically warped tilted Fauna indicate Miocene age. probably resulted glacio-eustatic sea-level changes Pleistocene.
