摘要: Abstract Solvation of some α-N,N-dimethylaminostyryl-N-alkyl pyridinium dyes has been studied in binary solvent mixtures alcohol–hexane, alcohol–1,4-dioxane, acetone–hexane, acetone–1,4-dioxane, DCM–hexane, DCM–1,4-dioxane and 1,4-dioxane–hexane to analyze the preferential solvation any mixture. Due solvent–solvent interaction, hyper hypo-polarity complex is observed, which reflected from bathochromic hypsochromic shifts absorption maxima dye molecules. The cage around influenced by polar–polar apolar–apolar interactions as well a proper balance between both types interactions.
