摘要: Molecular biological analyses of the kelp, Cost ari a cost at (C.A. Agardh) Saunders, were undertaken to study phenotypic variation, genetic subdivision populations and phylogeny. To basis variation in Costaria, individuals collected from two morphologically distinct stands. Preliminary analysis morphological using multivariate statistical techniques, indicated substantial differentiation between plants sites. Phenotypic integration morphology on correlation analysis, was similar for wave-exposed wave-sheltered plants. Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) with 42 anonymous probes demonstrated only one polymorphism. Most (80.9%) encoded highly repeated, dispersed sequences. Primary sequence 1595 base pairs small-subunit ribosomal DNA (~DNA, probe pCcl8) 204 upstream failed show any divergence It is suggested that developmental regulatory systems not general may account observed high level Costaria. Genetic Costaria inferred usage polymorphic rDNA marker (pCcl8) which appeared uncover restriction site intergenic spacer repeat. Twenty sites sampled eight
