摘要: PURPOSE : To determine the effect of a self-selected meal on concentrations low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and high-density (HDL-C) in screening setting to using nonfasting values classify individuals according National Cholesterol Education Program guidelines. SUBJECTS AND METHODS Study subjects were 115 employees who had previously participated worksite total screening, selected by stratified random sampling for sex levels. Total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL-C, estimated LDL-C determined before ate breakfast 3 5 hours after eating it. RESULTS following approximately 7% 2.5% lower, respectively, than fasting values. Use 3-hour 5-hour determinations with elevated levels (≥3.36 mmol/L) resulted false-negative rates 20% 14%, respectively. Three- HDL-C 4% 1.5% low (<0.91 no false-negatives, whereas 1 7 was misclassified when used. CONCLUSIONS These results support 1993 guidelines that should be only persons, may acceptable purposes.
