摘要: Colon cancer is still one of the leading causes death in USA and increasing at an alarming rate Asia. It major industrialized countries, its etiology known to be a combination hereditary, environmental, dietary factors lack physical activity. Chemoprevention plays potential role colorectal cancer. The present study was performed evaluate efficacy hesperetin supplementation on colonic aberrant crypt foci, lipid peroxidation antioxidant defense system 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH) induced colon carcinogenesis male Wistar rats. rats were segregated into six groups viz., group 1, control received modified pellet diet; 2 diet along with (30 mg/kg body weight/day); 3-6 administrated DMH (20 weight) subcutaneous injection once week for first 4 weeks; addition 4-6 three different doses 10, 20 30 weight/day 16 weeks. All sacrificed end experimental period Increased tumor incidence increased number foci (ACF) accompanied by decrease tissue peroxidation, glutathione S-transferase (GST), peroxidase (GPx), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) activities observed DMH-treated Administration treated significantly decreased incidence, simultaneous enhancement GST, GPx, SOD, CAT activities. results this suggest that dose weight showed significant beneficial effect against chemically as compared other two doses.
