摘要: Total mercury (Hg) concentrations were measured in archived fur from adult female little brown bats sampled at maternity roosts across Atlantic Canada. Mercury varied significantly among regions and roosts. Bats Nova Scotia Newfoundland had the highest median Hg (9.67 μg/g 9.51 μg/g) regions, individuals Kejimkujik National Park (median: 28.38 μg/g) Over one third of exceeding thresholds associated with neurochemical responses. Within-roost examinations stable carbon nitrogen isotopes showed inconsistent associations concentrations. Therefore, hypothesis that within-roost variation is driven by diet not supported this data, it recommended key prey items be included future bioaccumulation studies for bats. The elevated southern remains an anomaly concern even when placed larger context
