摘要: Metal-catalyzed hydrogenolysis reactions of carbon-halogen bonds have received less attention than carbon-carbon bonds. In this note the authors report results a study on methyl chloride over number metals supported silica. The products reaction are methane and hydrogen chloride. Somewhat earlier, similar was completed for bond in ethane, and, more recently, carbon-nitrogen methylamine. Establishing activity patterns these different types provides useful information regarding specificity metal catalysts important class reactions. 12 references.
