摘要: Rationality and truth: two themes realists easily turn into mad fire. In ‘real science’ rational theory choice proceeds largely in an eliminativist fashion, helped by basic logic a battery of learned criteria for choosing between competing theories. Evaluations this kind can be, however, notoriously treacherous: A verdict may out to favor false belief. Truth ascription, expected be less contextual than evaluation, is more ambitious affair still. The existence initial tension the issues scientific change search truth thus hard deny.
