摘要: Abstract This preliminary report shows that, using intermittent heat treatment of mass cultures Tetrahymena, 85 per cent the cells can be induced to undergo division simultaneously. Three successive maxima divisions have been observed. The cell populations used represent total numbers anything between 5,000 and 1 2 million corresponding dry weights order 0.03 5 mg. work is continued with attempts synchronize much larger quantities material, first on proteose-peptone media, then synthetic media.
