摘要: Publisher Summary Experimental observations in recent years that the mechanism by which a protein is converted to amyloid related intimately conformational changes have caused an increased interest various methodologies for analyzing conformation and structure. Thus, research associated with diseases has truly become interdisciplinary field, involving scientists from areas as diverse clinical medicine biophysical chemistry. The increasing volume of literature on studies amyloidogenic peptides proteins made it necessary researchers basic understanding of, perhaps apply, some common spectroscopic methods available gain structural information proteins. This chapter provides practical guide most commonly used techniques study structure, are ultraviolet visible (UV/Vis) fluorescence, circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy. discussed this can provide complementary structure technique choice depends many factors, including instrument availability, concentration needed, solvent conditions, desired.
