摘要: Publisher Summary This chapterpresents an overview of the current understanding role arbuscular mycorrhizas (AM) in mineral nutrition plants, focusing on mechanisms that have been suggested to account for AM effects. There is excellent evidence demonstrating external hyphae fungi absorb nonmobile nutrients from soil and translocate them rapidly thus overcoming problems depletion rhizosphere which arise as a consequence uptake by roots. Transfer across symbiotic interface often results increased nutrient acquisition plant. These processes act series and, with efficient producing extensive mycelium, lead well beyond rhizosphere. Molecular physiological underlying integration plant fungal pathways are increasingly being revealed. At cellular level, details phosphorus (P) nitrogen (N) metabolism revealed together information effects symbiosis expression both transporters, beginning coherent general picture how integrated. The interactions between colonization accumulation heavy metals other toxic elements areas considerable interest, relation production safe food bioremediation programs. A number different may be involved, including tissue dilution element due P growth, sequestration metal fungus, development tolerance fungi. Furthermore, water relations plants also discussed.
