摘要: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a severe neurodegenerative that gradually results in loss of memory and impairment cognitive functions the elderly people. Amyloid beta (Ab) major protein amyloid plaques brains patients with AD. Ab known to increase production free radicals, i.e. reactive oxygen species (ROS) neuronal cells, leading oxidative stress cell death. Oxidative inflammation are prominent features aging process AD, which may be causally related dysfunction its Recently, considerable attention has been focused on dietary antioxidants able scavenge ROS, thereby offering protection against stress. Walnuts rich components have antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties. Here, we review evidence walnut extract can inhibit fibrillization Ab, solubilise preformed fibrillar protects cells Ab-induced diet offer Ab-mediated cytotoxicity by (i) reducing generation (ii) inhibiting membrane damage (iii) attenuating DNA damage. This effect due active compounds present walnuts, capacity endogenous defenses modulate cellular redox state. A walnuts therefore reduce risk developing dementia type fibrillization,
