摘要: Thin-walled structures, like crash boxes, may be used as energy absorbers in the automotive chassis. There have been lots of investigations about behavior these parts during frontal crashes. Previous researches show that thin-walled circular tube has highest absorption among different structures. In this study, nu-merical modeling aluminum alloy is done using a 4-blades cutting tool which inserts an impact to with velocity 10 m/s. The performed based on comprehensive damage criterion Hoo-putra. By modeling, effects blade’s shapes and thicknesses effective parameters including max-imum displacement, maximum force, specific ab-sorption crushing force efficiency are investigated. obtained results shape thickness blades cannot neglected multi-purpose optimization needed for proper design according customer requirements.
