Carbon dioxide absorption by turbulent plunging jets of water

摘要: The absorption process as taking place in a plunging jet system is investigated. Starting from the assumption that site of main mass transfer submerged biphasic jet, physical model developed and equation established. In second section paper, criterial correlation eqn (35): Sh* = 8.8 (Re. We. Sc. HdN)12 for liquid phase coefficients carbon dioxide-water obtained, on basis experiments which nozzle diameter, velocity, length through gas working temperature were varied. This correlates satisfactory manner experimental data (the average absolute deviation 14.1%).
