On Orthogonal and Superimposed Pilot Schemes in Massive MIMO NOMA Systems

摘要: This paper is concerned with pilot transmission schemes in a large antenna system non-orthogonal multiple-access (NOMA). We investigate two structures—orthogonal (OP) and superimposed (SP). In OP, pilots occupy dedicated time (or frequency) slots, while SP, are data. study an iterative data-aided channel estimation (IDACE) receiver, where partially decoded data used to refine estimation. analyze the achievable rates for systems IDACE receivers both OP SP. show that optimal portion of power tends zero SP Gaussian signaling. result consistent existing findings obtained via replica method statistical physics. The latter involves multiple codes, which convenient theoretical analysis but difficult implement. As comparison, potentially implementable practice. demonstrate that, code optimization, can outperform high mobility environment number users. provide numerical examples verify our analysis.
