摘要: Abstract The specificity of association between ornithine decarboxylase activity and growth rat liver as indicated by incorporation labeled thymidine into DNA was studied in animals subjected to a variety experimental conditions. 1. 2. Major elevations the enzyme (25–70 times normal) were produced partial hepatectomies ranging from 9 77%, cross circulation normal with 77%-hepatectomized rat, large infusions hypertonic glucose or mannitol, intraperitoneal injection Celite. 3. Minor (2–9 resulted fasting refeeding, sham hepatectomy, normal-to-normal normal-to-Celite-injected partners, smaller infusions, albumin, epinephrine norepinephrine, confinement restraining cages. 4. While enhanced an early feature these experiments, stimuli not inducing also caused increase; furthermore, extent augmentation necessarily proportional rate when it did occur. 5. Although putrescine formation seems be directly linked replication, may involved some earlier step process, perhaps enhancement RNA synthesis function.
