摘要: Warped compactifications with significant warping provide one of the few known mechanisms for naturally generating large hierarchies physical scales. We demonstrate that this mechanism is realizable in string theory, and give examples involving orientifold type-IIB theory F-theory on Calabi-Yau fourfolds. In each case, hierarchy scales fixed by a choice Ramond-Ramond Neveu-Schwarz fluxes compact manifold. Our solutions involve Klebanov-Strassler gravity dual to confining $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric gauge reflects small scale chiral symmetry breaking theory.
