摘要: In 2010, an Iberian ibex (Capra pyrenaica hispanica) stock reservoir was established for conservation purposes in north-eastern Spain. Eighteen ibexes were captured the wild and housed a 17 hectare enclosure. Once captivity, caseous lymphadenitis (CLA) outbreak occurred handlings carried out at six-month intervals between 2010 2013 to perform health examinations sampling. Treatment with bacterin-based autovaccine penicillin G benzatine added during third subsequent handlings, when infection by Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis confirmed. Changes lesion score, serum anti-C. antibodies haematological parameters analyzed assess captivity effects, disease emergence treatment efficacy. Serum acute phase proteins (APP) Haptoglobin (Hp), Amyloid A (SAA) Acid Soluble Glycoprotein (ASG) concentrations also determined evaluate their usefulness as indicators of clinical status. 12 14 (85.7%) seroconverted, preceding signs; moreover, TP, WBC, eosinophil platelet cell counts increased while monocyte basophil decreased. After treatment, casualties fistulas disappeared both packed volume (PCV) haemoglobin concentration significantly increased. Hp, SAA ASG values under limit detection or showed no significant differences. role contagion rate is suggested increase antibody levels against C. signs. Although boosted this first report displaying high morbidity mortality ungulates. consisting vaccination antibiotic therapy seemed prevent alleviate severity, but not reflected humoural response. Haematology APP useful our study, perhaps due sampling frequency. Presumably endemic irrelevant wild, common domestic small ruminants complicating efforts
