摘要: The zebrafish (Danio rerio) is used extensively as a model species for studies on vertebrate development and assessing chemical effects reproduction. Despite this, the molecular mechanisms controlling reproduction are poorly understood. We analyzed transcriptomic profiles of gonads individual zebrafish, using 17k oligonucleotide microarray, to define basis sex reproductive status in sexually mature fish. gonadal transcriptome differed substantially between sexes. Among genes overexpressed females, 11 biological processes were overrepresented including mitochondrion organization biogenesis, cell growth and/or maintenance. males, six protein biosynthesis metabolism. Analysis expression gene families known be involved identified number differentially expressed ovaries testes sox belonging insulin-like factor activin-inhibin pathways. Real-time quantitative PCR confirmed nine most indicated that many transcripts likely switched off one sexes adult Significant differences seen gonad transcriptomes reproductively active females reflecting their stage maturation, whereas testis remarkably similar individuals. In summary, we have associated with (gonadal) specificity breeding established strong relationship ovarian females.
