摘要: Actions by local groups and leaders constitute an essential but poorly understood element of many rural development strategies. Previous studies suggest that efforts can influence community change, questions remain about why localities differ in mobilization to achieve goals. Drawing upon field theory human ecology, this study uses data for school districts Pennsylvania examine the argument activeness past solidarity contribute a higher probability than would be predicted ecological characteristics alone. Hierarchical regressions support some actions, while canonical correlations show generalized pattern strongly associated with solidarity.
