摘要: Periodontal regeneration is thought to require the migration and proliferation of periodontal ligament cells. Evidence suggests that polypeptide growth factors PDGF, IL-1, TGF-beta are mediators these cellular events in wound healing. The purpose this study was determine effects on human (PDL) cell mitogenesis, identify regulatory influences response PDGF IL-1. Confluent, quiescent PDL cells were cultured vitro treated with PDGF-AA -BB, IL-1 beta, both a dose time-dependent manner. Mitogenic activity, as measure proliferative potential, determined by quantitation 3H-thymidine incorporation during DNA synthesis. results demonstrated -BB enhance mitogenic activity dose-dependent manner over concentration range 1.0 50.0 ng/ml. beta (0.01 pM) resulted no enhancement, at high concentrations (10.0 100.0 an inhibitory effect. produced significant increase (P < 0.01) (although relatively much less than PDGF) delayed, bimodal, 0.01 20.0 ng/ml, maximal Additionally, incubation ng/ml prior addition significantly enhanced PDGF-BB.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
