摘要: We evaluated the fodder quality of Ficus thonningii Blume in Ahferom district Tigray, Ethiopia. Determination foliar macronutrients and proximate chemical compositions was undertaken using five diameter classes (11–20, 21–30, 31–40, 41–50 51–60 cm at breast height). In both cases, four replications randomised complete blocks were considered. Data on nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), digestible (DCP), ether extract (EE), fibre (CF), ash content free (NFE) collected. Results revealed that tree size had an effect N, P, K, DM, CP, DCP, EE CF, whereas it no NFE. The results also showed F. leaves are a good source nutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates minerals) as well within recommended range for ruminant livestock growth development.
