摘要: Nonbiting midges of the family, Chironomidae, are one most common and abundant organisms in inland natural or man-made aquatic ecosystems, existing extremely diversified habitats. Although chironomids aquatic, a few occur decaying matter, under bark, moist ground. The forms inhabit all along course streams rivers, from shallow fast-flowing head waters, to deep slow-moving waters lagoons. In stagnant small temporary permanent ditches ponds large lakes. They present “clean” saturated with dissolved oxygen as well “polluted“ very low oxygen. Thus, they exhibit wide range tolerance environmental conditions. so adaptive nature that some species known survive even brackish, estuarine, marine environments. occurrence survival certain polluted indicate type pollution their habitat.
