摘要: Copper has been reported to be active in selective hydrogenation of acetylene but very oligomers instead ethylene. In this work, SBA-15 supported Cu-Au bimetallic nanoparticles are studied under different Cu/Au ratios and temperature. The addition gold promotes the catalytic performance, reducing amount formed on catalyst's surface. A synergistic effect between copper is also displayed. catalyst with ratio at 1/3 both better conversion selectivity 160-200 degrees C, providing opportunities lower operating temperature (>200 C) copper. synergy can ascribed compromise two factors: electronic sintering resistance nanoparticles. Gold makes more electron-deficient, therefore, enhances conversion. Besides, particles remain highly dispersed small (ca. 3 nm) when large reduces ensemble size surface, minimizing C-C coupling reactions.
