摘要: Purpose: Examine the relationship between body mass index (BMI), Waist Circumference (WC), performance in Canadian Forces (CF) EXPRES test, and Five Common Tasks (5CT) fitness test for CF members 50-59 years. Hypothesis: Increasing BMI WC are related to lower 5CT. Results: For males (n=127, mean BMI=27.7 kg/m(±3.4), WC=96.99 cm(±9.8 cm)), increasing correlated (p 102 cm. The results females (n=27, BMI=25.8 kg/m(± 3.6), WC=84.5 cm(± 9.3 cm)) were inconclusive due sample size. Conclusion: males, on some components of physical testing. Additionally, high percent "Obese" individuals identifies an alarming trend towards increased health risk.
