摘要: The dye extraction from turmeric rhizomes (Curcuma longa L.) is generated a residue with high starch content that in nature does not form film. Therefore, we decided evaluate how mechanical treatment (ball or cryogenic mill) and chemical alkali (NaOH 2.5% (1, 4, 8 h) bleaching NaClO H2O2 at 25 45 °C affect the structure of fibers residue, its filmogenic capacity. Ball milling decreased particle size more effectively favoring procedures. Only two types consisting alkaline for 4 h H2O2, respectively, 4 h, 25 °C yielded residues treatments oxidized granules causing to lose their crystal as verified by DRX, removed amorphous such lignin hemicellulose increasing cellulose residue. FTIR analyses also revealed were oxidized. As agent, caused greater oxidation (the highest carboxyl carbonyl groups contents) affording films best functional properties. Although reduced phenolic compounds, still presented antioxidant activity.
