摘要: In this paper, we estimate the behavioral responses by individuals to type of information-intervention a public human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) testing program would typify. A unique feature data use is that survey itself altered allocation information held respondents administrating blood test for HIV as part longitudinal survey. Our framework demand on implies because only who are surprised results intervention respond it, in our case low-risk HIV-positive or high-risk HIV-negative, an may have surprising effects. also looking just at aggregate effects misleading indicator responsiveness average individual intervention. We find although effect quite small, disaggregated private beliefs consistent with elastic behavior individual. addition, subgroups population affected publicly subsidized roughly offsetting responses, which lead little possibly even perverse outcomes regards objective lowering disease transmission.
