摘要: The use of chemotherapy to treat cancer is effective, but chemoresistance reduces this efficacy. Chemotherapy resistance involves several mechanisms, including the stem cell (CSC) concept. aim present study was assess whether paclitaxel-resistant epithelial ovarian carcinoma capable generating cells with CSC-like properties. Using A2780/PTX line, it demonstrated that high aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 (ALDH1) activity identifies CSCs from diverse sources. Furthermore, had a strong ability form colonies in soft agar assays. Notably, inhibition PI3K signaling pathway abolished colony formation. These data suggest there link between paclitaxel and CSC enrichment. It possible therapeutic benefits, such as restoration chemosensitivity or suppression tumorigenicity, may be enabled by gaining further insights into mechanisms underlying generation CSCs.
