Impedance spectroscopic analysis of nanoparticle functionalized graphene/p-Si Schottky diode sensors

摘要: Metallic nanoparticle (NP) functionalized graphene/p-Si Schottky diode (chemidiode) sensors have been investigated through dc amperometric and ac impedance spectroscopic (IS) measurements. Four fold sensitivity enhancement for NH3 is demonstrated after Pt functionalization of sensor, the response also orders magnitude higher compared to graphene chemiresistor. Experimentally obtained spectra were modeled utilizing an equivalent circuit both sensor types, junction resistance capacitance extracted various gaseous analytes exposure. Variations in resistance, 3-dB cut-off frequency plotted three-dimensional (3D) enables extraction unique signatures analyte gases.
