摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the molecular biology of human apolipoproteins B and E associated diseases lipoprotein metabolism. The protein components lipoproteins are called have been designated apoA-I, apoA-II, apoA-IV, apoB, apoCI, apoCII, apoCIII, apoD, apoE. Analysis secondary structure indicates that they contain extensive regions amphipathic helices containing nonpolar polar surfaces. In these structures, surface helix is presumed to interact with lipids, such as cholesteryl ester triglycerides, supposedly interacts head group phospholipid aqueous phase. apoE a ligand for cellular recognition catabolism by low-density (LDL) (B/E) receptor possibly other types receptors. binding domain in vicinity residues 139–169. It synthesized mainly liver. However, substantial amounts also all peripheral tissues. Following synthesis, modified intracellularly carbohydrate chains two, four, or six sialic acid residues. ApoE secreted mostly form subsequently demodified plasma an unknown mechanism.
